Get ready to unleash your inner marksman in the ultimate test of skill, precision, and adventure—welcome to The Hunters Challenge! Picture this: you’re deep in the rugged, wind-swept hills of rural Nevada, where the wild terrain becomes your battlefield. This isn’t just any shooting comp—it’s a heart-pounding, adrenaline-fueled showdown that mimics the thrill of a real hunt, pushing you to your limits with your trusty hunting rifle in hand!
Strap on your hunting pack, grab your range finder, bipod, and all the gear you’d take into the backcountry—because here, it’s all about authenticity. You’ll tackle four epic stages, firing a total of 36 rounds against silhouette targets with steel plates at their vitals, at unpredictable, varied distances. The clock is ticking, the wind is whispering secrets (or howling challenges), and every shot counts as you dial in your dope and squeeze the trigger. Miss? That’s the hunt talking—adapt or get left in the dust!
But hold on, thrill-seekers—the real rush hits at one of those stages with the bonus target lurking beyond 1,000 yards! That’s right, a long-range beast that dares you to prove your mastery over gravity, wind, and sheer distance. Nail it, and you’re a legend; whiff it, and it’s fuel for the next round of glory.
Whether you’re a seasoned hunter chasing bragging rights or a sharp-shooter hungry for that next-level rush, The Hunters Challenge is where legends are forged under the Nevada sun. Gear up, lock and load—adventure awaits! Who’s ready to claim the crown?

Ever sign up for a class with absolutely no idea if the instructor/class is a quality product? Well look no further…I just completed the long range class at “Shooting Performance Institute”. The pedigree of these instructors is legit. You will leave this class with enough knowledge to gnaw on for a decade to hone your craft…just singed up for another class.
Jim did a private shooting lesson for myself and my mom. He was so kind and patient and explained everything about beginner gun safety and operation so well. It was a wonderful mother-daughter bonding activity and we both will continue to take more lessons from him!
I have taken multiple classes from Jim and every single time I have left a better shooter. It has honestly been the best investment in shooting I have made. Jim has the gift of being able to break down complex movements and processes into an understandable format and he gives you the necessary feedback to identify and fix what you’re doing wrong. Jim’s instruction also evolves with the times and he incorporates the most current concepts and processes. I think my only regret is that I didn’t take these classes sooner, dollar for dollar they are the best way to improve as a shooter and Jim is a phenomenal instructor with decades of experience and elite level training. Trust me, take the class.
What an amazing class from Jim, Mike, and Dave. Took a full day long range class with a buddy and had the time of our lives. Had a blast (literally) and learned an immense amount of info that I couldn’t have gotten anywhere else. From setting up the rifle to YOU, all the way to learning how to shoot targets at an unknown distance…they covered it all. First time shooting past 100yds and we got all the way out to 1000yds with relative ease after Jim’s instruction. I cannot recommend this class enough.
Jim and the crew made me feel welcome and comfortable. I’ve been shooting a long time but the additional instruction and one on one attention is truly where this training shines. A high level professional and yet down to earth approach makes shootings and beginners welcome and creates a great learning environment. Bring the kids or the buddies to any of SPI’s events with confidence!!
