Get ready to unleash your inner marksman in the ultimate test of skill, precision, and adventure—welcome to The Hunters Challenge! Picture this: you’re deep in the rugged, wind-swept hills of rural Nevada, where the wild terrain becomes your battlefield. This isn’t just any shooting comp—it’s a heart-pounding, adrenaline-fueled showdown that mimics the thrill of a real hunt, pushing you to your limits with your trusty hunting rifle in hand!
Strap on your hunting pack, grab your range finder, bipod, and all the gear you’d take into the backcountry—because here, it’s all about authenticity. You’ll tackle four epic stages, firing a total of 36 rounds against silhouette targets with steel plates at their vitals, at unpredictable, varied distances. The clock is ticking, the wind is whispering secrets (or howling challenges), and every shot counts as you dial in your dope and squeeze the trigger. Miss? That’s the hunt talking—adapt or get left in the dust!
But hold on, thrill-seekers—the real rush hits at one of those stages with the bonus target lurking beyond 1,000 yards! That’s right, a long-range beast that dares you to prove your mastery over gravity, wind, and sheer distance. Nail it, and you’re a legend; whiff it, and it’s fuel for the next round of glory.
Whether you’re a seasoned hunter chasing bragging rights or a sharp-shooter hungry for that next-level rush, The Hunters Challenge is where legends are forged under the Nevada sun. Gear up, lock and load—adventure awaits! Who’s ready to claim the crown?

I had the pleasure of being able to attend this training through my agency. After having gone through the course, I would recommend Jim to any shooter looking to improve their fundamentals and efficiency with a handgun. Jim was very professional and provided excellent critiques and techniques.
I had the privilege of spending an afternoon training with Jim, and highly recommend him to anyone wanting to level up their shooting accuracy and speed.
I attended a two day course with Jim focused on pistol training. I can’t say enough about Jim and the experience as a whole. My mechanics and shooting improved drastically in a short amount of time. Jim is a very capable teacher, and his passion for shooting and sharing knowledge is very evident. Not to mention you probably won’t go any longer than a few minutes before the next laugh. This was not my first class with Jim, and it won’t be my last.
I took the Tactical Pistol Class offered by Jim in Scottsdale in December 2022. He presented a lot of valuable information throughout the course and made sure to present it in a way that was approachable by any level of shooter. His emphasis on ensuring that the course material fit each participants needs extended through both the instructional portion and the range portion. On the range Jim was able to quickly gauge each participant’s skill level during each drill and give personalized suggestions for improvement.
Jim’s resume speaks for itself, but his laid back, friendly, and personal approach to teaching the material is what will bring me to another one of his classes when he is in town.
As a retired military man and fire fighter I have to say this was one of the most professional, knowledgeable, innovative courses of any sort I have ever gone through first hand. Everyone involved was nothing but professional intelligent and interactive on every level possible to make sure that the total experience was learning and helpful and motivating for everybody to accomplish what they set out to be. The attitudes both students and faculty were uplifting and I can’t say enough on how much it reminded me of my former experiences being in the military and in the fire department. On a scale of 1 to 10 it is a 10+ because the class is everything that he would hope for and more and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone from a basic shooter to an experienced shooter to experience firsthand.
